The only thing which makes sense of this world, for me, is belief in the next.
Otherwise, there is too much unresolved grief and pain.
The next world is where
all truth is told,
all injustice righted,
all love requited.
If it is so, as I believe it is, then
...so be it.

A thought this morning
I woke early this morning and this thought came, unbidden and fully formed, into my mind.
Belief in God is the peg on which I hang my life.
Having been unable to locate the 'blogosphere' since August 2012 (not knowing the right buttons to press) and being sorted out by husband and son no.1 yesterday evening, I feel brave enough to send it out as post no.2.
Given the verbal ping-pong it took to come up with the by-line, perhaps it s an apt mantra.
Hope so, anyway.

O' oh, here I go
Well this is scary and embarrassing but anyway, I'll have a go.
Why am I blogging?
A MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to 'write'
not books as such but just the thoughts and ideas that come tumbling into my mind all the time.
Thoughts, racing, chasing, tumbling, jumbling, teeming, streaming in the mind,
In free-fall.
There is a desire to share them but also the fear of seeming arrogance.
Casting them upon the e-waters of life where they might just wash up on a shore of reception somewhere,
and maybe feed a need or plant a flower of belief or hope or trust or love
or even a smile,
well, that would be good.
There is always the hope that there might be someone out there who reads the words and thinks, 'yes, I know what you mean' and that would be very good.
Blogging seems the answer to that desire.
I understand that it can be as anonymous as you wish it to be.
It's free and simple and yet so scary that I've been putting off the first step,
Until tonight.
So, I have my net-book
I have my blog name and I've made a start.
FIRST STEP IS HALLO
Hallo to you who may have read this far.
What is important for people to know about each other?
Not age surely. We are all people, human beings. We speak, hopefully, mind unto mind, heart unto heart.
The important things to me are 'what do we love, care about';
What couldn't we give two figs about.
What makes us laugh, cry, love, hate even.
